The PostgreSQL developers would like SPI to take donations for purposes related to PostgreSQL.
THE SPI BOARD RESOLVES THAT
PostgreSQL is formally invited to become an SPI Associated Project, according to the SPI Framework for Associated Projects, SPI Resolution 1998-11-16.iwj.1-amended-2004-08-10.iwj.1, a copy of which can be found at https://www.spi-inc.org/corporate/resolutions/2004/2004-08-10.iwj.1
The PostgreSQL Foundation, as represented by its president Josh Berkus, is recognised by SPI as the current authoritative decisionmaker in the PostgreSQL project. SPI understands that the authoritative decisionmaking power for PostgreSQL will change to a new structure represented by a different individual or individuals within the next month. SPI expects that Josh Berkus will communicate this information to the SPI Board as soon as the details are finalized and the names of the new representatives are known.
This invitation will lapse, if not accepted, 60 days after it is approved by the SPI Board.
